Why "Spacisto"?
Esperanto: spaco (space) + -isto (a person who does/works with) -- "a person of space." Chosen for cross-language readability, and because Esperanto's own spirit -- built to connect people across borders -- fits a game about pilots finding their place in a shared galaxy.
